Reason and Prerequisites


You are going to install a patch for your SAP IGS or for the first time, you need the version to use with your Web AS.

Important! As of the 02.02.2011 Maintenance Optimizer, the SP Stack Application in SAP Service Marketplace and possibly other places are not showing the correct version of IGS for products with a 7.11 kernel (and others). SAP IGS 7.20 shows up for the 7.11 based products. This information in not correct. The below information in this note overrides the SAP Service Marketplace.

Solution


The IGS you need to use is shown below

# If your WAS is using the WAS 6.40 Kernel:

Then you need to install the IGS 640.

# If your WAS is using the WAS 7.0* Kernel i.e WAS 700 Kernel or WAS 701 Kernel or WAS 702 Kernel:

Then you need to install the IGS 700.

# If your WAS is using the WAS 7.1* Kernel:

Then you need to install the IGS 710.

# If your WAS is using the WAS 7.2* Kernel:

Then you need to install the IGS 720.

# If your WAS is using the WAS 7.20_EXT Kernel:

Then you need to install the IGS 720_EXT.
